Account Data: Your name and email address when you register
Invoice Data: Business names, client details, line items, and other content you enter when creating invoices
Payment Data: Subscription and billing information processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your full card details.
Usage Data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and how you interact with the Platform
Communications: Messages you send us via email or support channels

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Provide, operate, and improve the Platform
Process payments and manage your subscription
Send transactional emails such as invoice confirmations and account notifications
Respond to your support requests

3. AI-Generated Content

ClarInvoice uses the Anthropic Claude API to help generate invoice content. When you use our AI autofill feature, relevant invoice details may be sent to Anthropic's API to generate suggestions. We do not share your personal identity or payment information with Anthropic. Please review Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

Stripe: For payment processing. See stripe.com/privacy
Supabase: For secure database storage of your account and invoice data
Resend: For sending transactional emails on our behalf
Anthropic: For AI-powered invoice generation features
Vercel: For hosting and serving the Platform
Law enforcement or legal process: Where required by applicable law

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and invoice data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within a reasonable time, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as resolving disputes.

6. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted storage and secure HTTPS connections. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session and improve your experience on the Platform. These include authentication cookies required for login. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so may affect Platform functionality.

8. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly.
